WIll Swartz
Worship Leader
Will grew up leading worship and attending Redeemer Church in Riverview since he was in middle school when his family moved to Hillsborough County to plant the church. His favorite part of leading worship is freeing God’s people to lift their hearts up to the Lord amidst all the distractions. Will leads with many different instruments including guitar, piano, and drums. He is an athletic director at a small private Christian school during the week and worship leader on the weekends. As a Tampa Bay native, he loves Lightning hockey! He is married to Shauna and recently welcomed their first child Eleanor in May. Will and many of their band members grew up attending Southland Camps where many of them first met Jesus and they believe deeply in its mission, “Connecting Students to Christ & Community.”
WHAT TO GET EXCITED ABOUT…
There is so much to anticipate and get excited about as you prepare to attend our MS Camp. Below gives you a snapshot of what to expect when you arrive. Free free to contact the MS Camp Director Brown Peterson with any questions you may have: Brown@southlandcamps.org
Worship
We will worship through song and God’s Word on Monday evening through Friday morning. There is something unique about worshipping in a room full of middle school students from across the state of Florida.
Fun
Camp Kulaqua offers some amazing activities for us: water park with wave pool & lazy river, natural spring with ‘The Blob’ & rope swing, go-karts, horseback riding, indoor gymnasium, disc golf, tubing down the Ichetucknee River, and more! That doesn’t even include the AM competitions and evening entertainment!
CONNECTING WITH YOUR CHURCH
Through conversations on the ride up, church huddle time, to the late-night talks in your rooms, relationships will be forged and deepened throughout the weekend together. Your group will be closer together than when you arrived.
CONNECTING WITH The CHURCH
One of the greatest parts about Southland is the friendships that are created between students, leaders, and churches. These bonds will carry out into their college experience, encouraging them to visit RUF, and enjoy life with.

Why Has The Price Increased since last Summer?
Due to increased costs for Southland to remain at Camp Kulaqua, we have raised the prices to what they are now. We are also going to include the price for tubing so churches don’t have to worry about it at camp. Please feel free to reach out to Brown Peterson if you want to talk more about this.
Helpful Advice
You may need to add to this cost for your church’s expenses. For example, travel expenses for rental vehicles or charter buses will be up to each church to figure out. The above covers the Southland expenses.
Checks need to be in Southland’s possession by the early registration deadline of June 10th in order to get the early registration rate.
